A Good Reason To Continue

I guess this says it all. All the more reason to produce an epic that includes the both a morality play and the elements of the dollar trilogy. Though, while not as sophisticated and learned as Mr. Frayling, I am not sure I agree with this qoute presented in this article by Daniel Edwards in Senses of Cinema: http://www.sensesofcinema.com/contents/directors/02/leone.html#21
As Christopher Frayling noted in his ground-breaking study of the Spaghetti Western phenomenon, “Leone's films contain no universal moral messages (as many Hollywood Westerns have claimed to), and his heroes are not intended to set an example for today.” (21) Frayling, Christopher, Spaghetti Westerns, op. cit. p.191

I wonder, seems that his films have lots of moral, if not universal messages, but it is for the moral and ethical human being to extract them. Not a easy task. Much like real life.
